Problem
The families can easily access the block/district to use the existing facilities and amenities while the elderly who are weaker prefer to just stay home/sit at the void deck and not move about. Thus there is lack of a space that brings people together for recreation and interaction via a common activity.
Design Strategy
To attract and provide new recreational activities
for the residents of Chai Chee and the public,
creating a vibrant space that is elderly friendly
and conjugates with ‘New Town Bedok’.
