Socapa Website Redesign

Socapa approached me to redesign their existing outdated website into a more dynamic and interactive representation of their summer camps for creative youths. However i provided a pro bono service for them as budget was an issue.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator

Timeframe: 2 days (28 Sep - 29 Sep 2021)

Brief

Brief was to fit all information into a more succinct visual that captures users' attention quickly.

Approach

Adding in elements of moving images on auto play and streamlining of all information into a more updated and captivating layout.

Existing Layout (Not done by me)

Re-designed Layout

I envisioned for all images used (except articles images) to be moving images that tells a story once users hover their mouse over it so that their attention would be solely on it. This way the website will feel more interactive and engaging.

The accent color chosen is a bright amber shade to represent the youthful, fun and energetic vibes of the camps!

End Product

The end product is essentially providing sneak peaks to the kind of experience one might get when they sign up for the camps. Thus the webpage helps them envision what it feels like to be immersed in those activities which may translate into more sign up rates for the client.

As moving images leave a more lasting impression on the user (as compared to still images), the users are more likely to remember the website and revisit again when the need arises.
